Nearly 10 Years After Her First Nomination, Miley Cyrus Wins the First GRAMMY of Her Career Thanks to ‘Flowers’

9 years after earning the first GRAMMY nomination of her career (for the 2013 chart-topping project ‘Bangerz‘), Pop diva Miley Cyrus can finally boast ownership of her first golden gramophone.

Beating out megahits like Taylor Swift‘s Anti-Hero,’ Olivia Rodrigo‘sVampire,’ Billie Eilish‘s What Was I Made For,’ and Doja Cat‘s Paint the Town Red,’ Cyrus captured the Best Pop Vocal Solo Performance award for her 2023 hitFlowers.’

Presented by Mariah Carey, a stunned Miley accepted the award with a heartfelt tale about how she never thought she would own the coveted trophy (as seen above).

Named the top female song of 2023 by Billboard, ‘Flowers’ not only holds the personal milestone for being her longest-charting #1 hit but now her first song tied to a GRAMMY win.
